Fun in Lincoln & Woodstock

Having fun here isn’t much of a challenge. In fact, the only hard part is deciding how you’re going to enjoy yourself at any given moment.

Family Skiing Loon MountainIt all begins with the skiing, of course. The Loon Mountain ski area is literally right in your backyard. 44 trails. Plenty of snow all the time thanks to just installed state of the art snow making equipment. Snowboarding. Cross-country. Ski-school. Terrific amenities.

And then there’s skating, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and winter camping. Yes, we have wintertime covered.

Riding horses in LincolnBut winter doesn’t last forever, even at Loon Mountain. Many folks can’t wait for the activities that start in spring.

You might start hiking the miles of trails through the White Mountain National Forest. Just step across our property line and you’re there. Mountain biking is also unbelievable in the Forest. Or, if you prefer, you can take a bike tour. There’s one that starts up near Franconia and works its way back past Flume Gorge. We recommend it highly.

Riding BikesThere’s fly-fishing in the Pemi, horseback riding, kayaking and canoeing.

You can jump into a road race like the Xterra . Go tubing. Jet-ski. Or hit the really enormous climbing wall at the Adventure Center.

Floating down the PemiAs you’d expect, conditions for nature photography and painting are superb. And it’s a proven fact that even sitting in a chair and reading a book is 65% more pleasurable at The Landing than elsewhere. Many people claim that number is understated.

Note: this is only a partial list of things to do hereabouts. We didn’t even mention theater in the summer or the Highland Games in the fall. But it should be enough to get you started.
